You decide how many sessions you’d like. We'll regularly check in about how you’re finding the process, and when you feel ready to end counselling, we’ll plan a supported ending together.

Fees
I offer a free 30-minute introductory phone call, so we can see if we’d like to work together.
After that, sessions are £60. If you’re a student, unwaged, or experiencing financial hardship, I may be able to offer a reduced rate, please don’t hesitate to ask.

The Counselling Room
If you choose face-to-face counselling, we’ll meet in a private, peaceful, self-contained garden room in Bekesbourne, near Canterbury. There’s free parking and a toilet available. Please note: there is a small step into the room, and around ten metres to walk from the parking space. If you have any accessibility needs, just let me know, I will do what I can to accommodate you.
How to get the most from your counselling:
Counselling works best when it feels collaborative and honest. You might find it helpful to reflect on the following before we begin: ask yourself: am I ready to explore my thoughts and feelings?
Think about what you'd like to gain from counselling
You might find it helpful to set some goals that you feel are achievable. You can discuss this with me in our first session so we can both aim to reach that goal together.
Talk about what feel important to you:
This is your space. You choose what to share and when. You are never expected to talk about anything you’re not ready to.
Tell me what’s working and what isn’t:
Your feedback matters. I want our sessions to feel helpful and safe for you, and we’ll adjust as needed.
Create a comfortbale environment:
If you’re working with me online or by phone, try to find a private, quiet space where you can relax and feel secure.
Be kind to yourself afterwards:
Counselling can sometimes leave you feeling tired. It’s a good idea to plan some gentle self-care after our sessions.
Understand that counselling can make you feel worse before you feel better:
This can be a natural part of the process. If this happens, please do share it with me, your wellbeing and safety are my priority.
Is there homework?
There’s no set homework, but many clients find it helpful to write or draw a journal, or bring meaningful things to sessions, poems, art, dreams, music, or memes that resonate with you. Occasionally, I may suggest an article, book, or exercise to support your journey.
